The Reggie Roberts trained Timeless Call recorded her third course and distance win as she made all to take the opener at Dundalk this afternoon, the www.dundalksubaqua.ie Handicap over five furlongs.

Paddy Powers had the daughter of Sakhee at 16/1 last night and she was available at a general price of 14/1 this morning before being backed into 7's. She opened on track at 7/1 but was further backed into 5/1 joint second favourite at the off.

Ridden by Ronan Whelan she made all the running and responded well when ridden over a furlong and a half from home.

She kept on well in the final furlong to score by three parts of a length at the line. Candlehill Girl under Ian Brennan (pound overweight) ran a cracker in the colours of Flemenstar to finish second for Peter Casey and owner Stephen Curran at 20/1 while Strike Action was a further length and three parts back in third under Billy Lee for David Wachman at 8/1. Phebes Wish was sent off the 9/2 (was 13/2 last night with Paddy Powers) but she could only manage fourth under Ross Coakley for John McConnell.

Winning trainer Reggie Roberts said afterwards: "She has run five times over five furlongs and she has won three of them. Six furlongs draws her out too much.

"There aren't enough five furlong races. She will go for a Listed race back here but it’s not for a while. I might look towards England with her.

"The year has been a disaster for her as she wants good ground. "
