Bronsan Racing's recent Galway Hurdle-winning colours were carried to success by another of Galway's heroes Sigh No More today, as the Joseph O'Brien-trained filly followed-up in Roscommon's Irish EBF Auction Series Race.
The Sands' family's Nurburgring won Galway's recent showpiece hurdle race and while Sign No More gained her Ballybrit success in a maiden for owners Stride Racing, did so in remarkable fashion as she finished rapidly and streaked past leader Saint Brandon near the line.
Sign No More (7/4 — 11/10f) today raced in a combined Bronsan Racing and Stride Racing partnership and, under Dylan Browne McMonagle, won less dramatically when beating Baltray Lady by 1.25 lengths.
Browne McMonagle commented “I jumped well, sat outside the leader, and she travelled well for the first half but once I got down around the bend she was still very raw. She took plenty of helping along but I knew she was always going to stay well as you saw in Galway, when she won her maiden.
“I knew turning in if I got her into top gear she'd outstay them and she did it well at the line. She wasn't stopping and gets through that ground well.
“Hopefully she can keep progressing and I think she'd going to come on again for that.”
