Freneys wins banks' race for Bolger
The opening Irish Field Chase, run over the banks, was, almost predictably, won by trainer Enda Bolger, with Freneys Well
Ridden by Nina Carberry, was prominent throughout, moving through to lead at the third last fence, before registering an easy 19 lengths win over Berkley
Afterwards Bolger said "we were a little disappointed with him when he finished fourth earlier this week but his rider JT McNamara advised us to try cheekpieces with him and they seemed to have worked.
He added "we were also helped by the carnage during the race, especially when Wedger Pardy was carried wide by a loose horse before the fifth last fence."
