By Voix Du Nord, like his famous stable companion, Vroum Vroum Mag, Kemboy made a nice beginning for Willie Mullins today by winning the first split of the Book Online At www.limerickraces.ie Maiden Hurdle.
Ruby Walsh donned the Supreme Horse Racing Club silks on 8/13 chance Kemboy, and he could be picked out as a likely winner approaching the straight.
Mullins' runner led before the last and he kept on well on the run-in for a comfortable win over Justmemyselfandi — by a margin of two and three parts of a length.
"He did it nicely, travelled well and stayed well. He was a mile and a half horse on the Flat but seemed to get the two three really well and jumped really well," said Walsh.
"He has won his maiden hurdle by two and a half lengths but I'd say he is going to find it a bit harder from here on."
