Henry de Bromhead sent on a good winner last night at Clonmel in Ornua. Whilst the stable's Foxearth had to work harder, he was still a comprehensive winner at the finish in the Kilmore Rec & Corner Inn Bar Rated Novice Hurdle at Downpatrick.
Just four ran here and the Andrew Lynch-ridden Foxearth, and Prince Garyantle had it to themselves from some way out. Nine lengths split them at the line.
Lynch said: "He stayed three miles well the last day and having ridden the other horse (Prince Garyantle) I was anxious to put a bit of pressure on him early and he galloped well.
"It's lovely ground, in fairness they do a good job here."
