For The Trees (11/2) made all to win the Tally-Ho Stud Irish EBF Premier Nursery in the hands of Shane Foley, defeating 15/8 favourite Champers Elysees and Latin Five (16/1) by a length and the same.

The winning daughter of Ivawood, a winner of a Sligo maiden in August and in the frame in three nursery runs subsequently, was away smartly and the winning rider was keen to bring her towards the stands’ side in search of better ground.

She travelled well on the front end and never really looked in danger of being caught as she kept on well up the final climb to the winning post.

“She’s a tough filly, said winning trainer Jessica Harrington.

"She’s not very big but she really tries her heart out. She’d been placed in every Nursery and in one race she carried 9st10lb.

“The fact that she had a nice light weight on her today helped her to stay going. The plan was to make the running as she made all to win her maiden in Sligo. She likes that soft ground.

“I’ve wanted to win this race for some time. It’s one of the older races in the calendar and has a bit of history about it.

“She’s in the Sales on Tuesday so I’m not sure what will happen now.”
