Vanessa Maye got a great tune out of Geological again at Dundalk this afternoon when the pair landed a hat-trick in the concluding seven-furlong rated race.
Maye partnered her first winner aboard the seven-year-old when Damian English's charge made his 100th career start here last month.
The pair followed up over six here at the start of this month and despite being an easy-to-back 10/1 shot today the gelding again showed his rivals a clean pair of heels.
Having taken up his customary front-running role the Rock Of Gibraltar gelding found plenty inside the final furlong to record a two-length win over Highly Approved
Maye will now have her claim reduced to 7lb after the victory.
English said: “He’s getting better with age. We nominated him for Dubai and he was off 90 today so we’ll see what happens.
“He’s never actually looked this well during the winter season up here. His coat is immaculate and his confidence is up. Vanessa gets some tune out of him and we always said he loved the women!
“Before his hundredth start he’d never won two in a row and he’s won three in a row now. This horse has done so much for us and is part of the family at this stage.
“Vanessa is with Jack Davison but she rides work for us. She is a great kid and we will be using plenty more of her up here over the winter.
“We could come here once more before Christmas but if Dubai is on the cards we could go straight there. It’s up in the air at the moment.”
