Gordon Elliott completed a quick double when Barneys Honour ran out an easy winner of the Dunsany Handicap Chase at Navan.

The City Honours gelding had also been an cosy winner at the course over hurdles on his penultimate start and as a result of looking well treated back over fences he was sent off the even-money favourite.

Paul Carberry was at his cool best as he produced his mount at the second last to claim front-runner Hidden Present

The hotpot went on before the final fence and Carberry only had to shake him up on the run-in to post a nine-and-and-a-half length verdict.

Elliott celebrates his birthday today and was absent for the brace as he was attending a point-to-point at Tyrella, where he also saddled a winner when Gigginstown youngster Once And Always dead-heated in a maiden.

Elliott's partner Annie Bowles was on duty and confirmed that the winner would continue to mix disciplines:- “He's effective over both hurdles and fences.”

Elliott had also landed the preceding beginners chase with Realt Mor
