Doyle makes it two from two on Rathvinden
16-year-old Alan Doyle maintained the perfect start to his career in the saddle when guiding Lord Rathvinden to success in the apprentice handicap.
Doyle, who scored on his first ride on the same horse at Tipperary last week, made it two from two when Tracey Collins' charge recorded a cost length-and-a-half success.
The Curragh native produced his mount at the furlong pole and kept a cool head as his mount asserted to settle matters.
Sheena Collins, representing sister Tracey, said: "He gave it a good ride and did exactly what he was told.
"He has a good head and rides very well. He has been riding pony racing since he was 12 or 13 and lives for the game."
