Veteran sprinter Lincoln (5/1 co fav) registered the seventh win of his career when taking the concluding Ratoath Pharmacy Handicap.
Completing a 125/1 double for 7lbs claimer Joey Sheridan, the Clodovil gelding came from the rear of the field and finished best down the outside to score by a neck from Pulsating with Drumquina another half a length away in third.
Fourth home Takeachancejimmy was the unlucky horse in the race, finishing fourth after being badly hampered early in the contest.
A five time winner for Mick Channon and once rated 104, this was a second win in Ireland for Lincoln and he’d caught the eye when third to Jungle Jane at Tipperary last month.
It was a double on the card for Sceptical’s owner James McAuley, having owned and trained 20/1 winner Timemakesitfine earlier on the card.
Winning jockey Sheridan, riding this winner for his boss Denis Hogan, said: “I knew the race was going to pan out the way it did.
"They went hard up front and my lad would keep coming. I’m glad it paid off.”
