Dark Outsider won his fourth race and his second at Powerstown Park when triumphing in the Clonmel Show Sunday 2nd July Handicap Chase.
Jumping left over the final two and 'missing' the last could have seen the chasing pack get in a blow.
However the Danny Mullins-ridden Dark Outsider had enough left in reserve to justify 4/1 favouritism by a length and a quarter and a head from Aranhill Rascal and Invincible Don
James Dullea trains Dark Outsider for the Bayshaven Syndicate and he made all in this extended two and a half miler.
Dullea said: "He won off a mark of 79 and has won four races now which is fantastic. Danny was brilliant on him again. The race just didn't work out the last day at Tramore and we took a chance bringing him back again fairly soon.
"He's a good ground horse but it's still raining and the ground is loose. He's a very good jumper and is probably a bit better going left-handed."
The victorious syndicate is from Crosshaven in Cork.
J.M. Moore, rider of Crocodile Dundee trained by Thomas Cooper, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost its action coming down the hill.
B. Hayes, rider of Adarenna trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the first fence and never travelled thereafter.
