Tooreen Legend has six wins under his belt for owner James O'Brien, and trainer Tommy Stack. It appears they have another nice type on their hands as the Vale Of York filly Tooreen Dancer (a half-sister to Tooreen Legend) made a winning bow under Wayne Lordan in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Maiden (Plus 10 Race) at Dundalk.
Ger Lyons' Kiss The Wind (5/4 favourite) was the one most punters favoured here, but she could only manage fourth as Michael Halford's Heat Of The Day gave 16/1 shot Tooreen Dancer most to do.
To the great credit of Tooreen Dancer she toughed it out best to win by a neck.
Lordan said afterwards: "Every time we did a bit of work with her earlier in the year she weakened off, and it's only in the last two months that she has held her weight.
"On her breeding she should be suited by a mile to a mile and a quarter next year."
D.P. McDonogh, rider of Dangerous Ground trained by John Joseph Murphy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount broke slowly from stalls.
J.A. Heffernan, rider of Inescapable trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was checked early on when the pace steadied.
W.J. Lee, rider of Malibu Magic trained by M.C. Grassick, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount leaned to the left during this race.
