"Go on the Crocodile!" was a shout heard in the crowd at the business end of the Tipperary Handicap Chase and Crocodile Dundee responded by powering home.
The seven-year-old gelding gave jockey Bryan Cooper a double on the card. He steered the 2/1 favourite home in this two mile one race for his father Tom Cooper.
Crocodile Dundee travelled into contention on the outer coming to the second last and took up the mantle shortly after landing.
He was driven out by Cooper to account for Black Scorpion (7/1) by a length and a quarter. Dark Outsider was three parts of a length further back in third at 5/1.
Tom Cooper said: "Very few horses win a maiden hurdle and then a handicap chase on their next start!
"There was plenty pace on today, which suited and he is a super jumper and will go for something similar next.
"He along with Billy De Kid (a winner at Clonmel last week) got a bad dose of a virus three years ago, so we've been waiting a long time for him."
Jockey Cooper earlier scored on Henry de Bromhead's Creation in the opener.
