Cooper notches double on Gaffer
Coolavanny Gaffer opened his account in good fashion when claiming the three-mile maiden hurdle at Kilbeggan.
Bryan Cooper produced the 11/4f, travelling well, to lead before the final flight and he went on for a cosy length-and-three-quarters success over Lets Go Sunshine
Cooper was doubling up on the gelding, trained by his father Tom, having also claimed the mares hurdle aboard Isabellareine
"He did it easy. He won a couple of point-to-points and his real game is chasing," said Cooper.
"He didn't have a hard race there and could go to Roscommon on Monday (2m4f handicap hurdle) as long as he's alright in the morning."
