Osco Mosco followed-up on her win at Fairyhouse in November, as she got the better of the 4/7 favourite Bang Bang Rosie in the Bloomfield House Hotel Mares Hurdle.

Second or better on all but one of her eleven starts to date, the Gordon Elliott trained five-year-old was sent off at 4/1 this evening in the colours of owner Nelius O'Keeffe.

Settled in second by Jack Kennedy, the daughter of Oscar improved to press the front-running Bang Bang Rosie from three out.

The bay victor got to the front after the next, and kept on well under pressure from before the last, to see off the renewed effort of the market leader by six and a half lengths.

Danny Mullins was aboard the runner-up for his uncle Willie, while Sunrise Lady was another length and a half back in third.

"She probably wants further and we are going to go jumping fences with her as well," said Elliott.

"I thought the race suited. She'll probably come on from the run, as we missed a bit of time with a few of ours, but in fairness she was tough and she stayed galloping to the very end.

"That wasn't really the plan but Jack said they were going very steady so he went on and he thought he might just test the other horse's jumping as it wasn't jumping great.

"He used his own head, his own initiative, and did the right thing there. It's a nice race to win with her."
