Casbah Rocks on at Navan
Casbah Rock made it four for the season when producing a fine front-running performance to claim the Peter O'Brien Landscapes Handicap at Navan.
Johnny Murtagh judged the pace to perfection and had his rivals in trouble two furlongs from home.
The Ger Lyons-trained gelding stayed on strongly inside the final furlong to score by three lengths as Mundher chased in vain.
The winner had drifted before racing (from 7/4 to 5/2) but was backed again on course from 3/1 and was sent off 9/4 favourite.
"Johnny gets on great with him. He's genuine and very straight forward," said Lyons.
"He's in again at Leopardstown on Thursday. If the ground stays fast and he comes out of this well he'll go there."
