Carrigmoorna Rock proved a class act in the IFG/Willis EBF Mares Hurdle at Leopardstown.

The Robert Tyner-trained daughter of King's Theatre was sent off 7/4 favourite and her supporters never had an anxious moment.

Philip Enright sent her on going to the last flight and she soon skipped clear of her rivals. She went on to post a cosy five-and-a-half length success over Keppols Queen

"She was very impressive. We were looking forward to stepping up to two-and-a-half. The trip (two miles) was the one thing I was a small bit worried about going to Newbury," said Tyner.

"She seems to have improved the last couple of weeks. I don't know where we'll go next. There is a chance she could go back to England but I have yet to go through the program.

"She might have one more run before Cheltenham.

"I said after Down Royal that I wouldn't mind meeting the winner again over two-and-a-half up a hill!

"She just got away with that ground. It was holding but they had fresh ground. When Philip pulled her out after the second last on to better ground she took off.

"I thought for three strides that she was beaten but the next thing was the race was over."
