The Eddie Cawley-trained Mary's Pride registered a third career success in the tipperaryraces.ie Handicap Hurdle.

Disappointing over the winter months, the Aizavoski seven-year-old bounced back to form when second at Bellewstown in May and bidding to go a place better this evening, he was sent off a 13/2 chance.

Prominent in the early stages before soon settling behind the leaders on the inner, the Kieran Buckley-ridden victor improved into a close second after three out.

Sent to the front before the next, he was ridden a few lengths clear approaching the final flight and kept on well from there, coming home a length-and-a-quarter to the good.

Returned at 16/1, Aussie Warrior came through to take second under Phillip Enright for Thomas Hughes, while The Niffler (8/1) and Someone's Wish (14/1) were half-a-length and a length away in third and fourth respectively.

In what looked a wide-open contest, Morepowertoya was sent off the 6/1 favourite and he finished a disappointing ninth.

Cawley said: "He came here off a run in Bellewstown and I was happier with the ground here than I was in Bellewstown. I was delighted when I saw this coming up more yielding than good.

"I didn't know how tough he was but was delighted with the way he stuck his head out.

"That will keep the lads (Furniture Syndicate) happy in the workplace. We have a furniture manufacturing business and I bought him for the lads there.

"We might find something for him in Galway."

STEWARDS REPORTS

The Raceday Stewards enquired from C. Stone-Walsh, rider of One Cool Poet regarding his fall on the flat as he left the back straight. The rider reported that his mount took a false step and came down. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

K.C. Sexton, rider of Golden Sandbanks (GB), trained by Paul W. Flynn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise.

E. Walsh, rider of Halla Paroiste trained by Cian Collins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered on the turn in by the faller.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Morepowertoya (FR), trained by Paul Power, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have lost a left hind shoe but was otherwise post race normal.
