Glen Kiln (5/4f) showed battling qualities synonymous with the Bowe family's horses in landing today's Cavan Developments Supporting Kill GAA Maiden Hurdle at Naas, providing them with a second Kildare winner this week.

Ridden by 7lb claimer Carl Millar, Glen Kiln made the running and while headed by runner-up Musta Lovea Lovea on the run-in, rallied powerfully to score by 1.75 lengths.

The Bowe family are forever linked to talented front-runners Limestone Lad and Solerina and were on the mark at Punchestown on Monday, with the Willie Mullins-trained Linden Arden .

Glen Kiln is trained by lesser known Harry Kelly but, referencing an irishracing.com headline from Monday ('Bowe family climb aboard the Mullins bandwagon'), owner Michael Bowe today quipped “we jumped on the Harry Kelly bandwagon!

“He’s a seriously good trainer.”

He added “he got a good ride and it’s been a great week. I said to Carl going out ‘don’t let it turn into a sprint’ and as the old cliché goes he’ll make a great chaser.

“He gallops away on loose reins and it’s just pure stamina. To look at him he has the model of a chaser.”
