“She was very good and has improved for the break after her first run. We’ll have a look at winners’ bumpers but I’d be keen to go jumping sooner rather than later in the new season," said Willie Mullins after Botani (5/6) completely outclassed the opposition in the Over 1000 Games At BetVictor Casino INH Flat Race at Kilbeggan.
Patrick Mullins didn't have to ask the chestnut daughter of Doyen, placed fourth in a Grade Two mares bumper on her debut 82 days back, any questions at all.
She careered away up the straight to leave Gotthenod and Accidental Rebel twenty three lengths and four and three parts of a length in her wake.
“I don’t think we are going to give her a break and we’ll continue on during the summer with her," further reflected Mullins senior.
“It’s Fiona McKeon’s first winner in her colours, and Botani is a wine local to Malaga that she is partial to!”
The Stewards fined J.P. O'Brien, trainer of Centaur €130 for failing to notify the Race Administration System immediately of the gelding of his charge in accordance with Rule 148 (vi).
