Borderlescott wins feature at Dundalk
The feature race of the evening, The Mercury Stakes Listed Race was won by the Robin Bastiman trained Borderlescott ridden by Pat Cosgrave in the colours of James Edgar & William Donaldson.
Winning trainer Bastiman said afterwards, "He did the job well, he's a little horse and is was a big ask with him carrying 10-3. We were invited to Hong Kong but we're not going. We'll put him away till next season now. Pat [Cosgrave] had to give him a hard ride to win. We'll probably start him off at The Temple Stakes at Haydock Park and then The Kingstand Stakes at Ascot. He usually comes good around July and August, he's better on a wider track."
