The John Murphy trained Big Time the outsider of the five, sprang a 16/1 surprise in the Fishery Lane 2yo Race under Shane Foley.

Also owned and bred by Murphy, the son of Kheleyf was ridden to lead over a furlong from home and he stayed on well close home to score by a length and a half at the line. Fountain Of Youth a Ballydoyle newcomer out of five time Group 1 winner Attraction, finished second under Joseph O’Brien at 7/2.

The Jim Bolger newcomer Club Wexford was the gamble of the race having opened at a general 7/2 this morning he was supported throughout the day and opened on-course at just 6/4, eventually going off favourite at that price.

He race on the inside for much of the contest but was then switched to the outside under two furlongs out losing significant momentum.

He swished his tail over a furlong out, running on strongly under Kevin Manning to finish a short head back in third.

John Murphy said of his winner; "He is a real serious fine big horse. It makes me sad actually as Mick Buckley (deceased) insisted on me breeding the dam to the stallion.

"He is a proper horse and on a bit better ground he will show more. He’ll come on for this and I think he has it all.

"He is so big I didn’t even enter him in the Phoenix Stakes even though he had shown so much earlier this year. I thought he was more of a back end horse but he had been working so well recently.

"We’ll think about the Coventry Stakes for him now. Quick ground is what he wants and he might get it there. Shane (Foley) called it yielding out there today."
