Benefitthewest well named
Benefitthewest sealed the spoils for Galway trainer David Martin Kelly and the Cabb Syndicate in the two mile handicap hurdle at Sligo at the rewarding odds of 25/1 from 11/4 market principle Seamies Dream
The five-year-old mare stayed on well in the run-in to score by three lengths in the hands of seven pound claimer Paddy Kennedy from Seamies Dream who travelled well.
Winning trainer Kelly said: "She had three runs last year and was a bit weak. She was going well when falling four out last time.
"I am going to keep her going through the summer."
The winning syndicate comprises nine members from Ballygar. They have had horses for nearly ten years and this was their first winner.
