There was money about for a few of them prior to the Foran Equine Irish EBF Auction Maiden (Plus 10 Race). Whitefountainfairy was certainly one of those to attract market-support and she delivered in the six furlong event at Fairyhouse.
Whitefountainfairy reversed form with Red Persian from 19 days ago at the Curragh.
Leading a furlong and half out the Shane Foley-ridden 5/2 shot asserted a furlong to defeat Red Persian by two and three parts of a length.
Winning trainer Jessica Harrington said: "She had a good run at the Curragh where she got a bit squashed for room and she's come on from there. She's grown into a fine strong filly, and it's hard to believe she cost just 3,000 Euros.
"I'm a great fan of this series, and the race she ran in at the Curragh is working out very well."
D. O'Brien, rider of Band Of Outlaws trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran short of room in the straight.
Anastasia O'Brien, rider of Spirit Power (GB), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her mount ran around in the straight.
