Ballytrim wins Powers Ulster Grand National
The feature race of the day, The Powers Ulster Grand National EBF Handicap Chase was won by the inform Willie Mullins with Ballytrim under Paul Townend in the familiar colours of Mrs Violet O'Leary.
Townend raced the Luso gelding in mid-divison, made progress travelling well 4 out, led after 3 out and kept on well to win by a comfortable 7 lengths.
Winning trainer Mullins said afterwards, "That's my first time winning the race. We have possibly being dropping him out too much in his races, the better ground was a big help today. The Irish National is a possibility for him or we may go to Punchestown."
