There was little wrong with the performance of Pretty Perfect who entered the Oaks picture when winning the Listed Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Salsabil Stakes at Navan today for Ballydoyle's Aidan O'Brien.
Ridden by Colm O'Donoghue, Pretty Perfect, who didn't go unsupported at 9/1 (from 16s this morning), made all the running and in the end proved three and a half lengths too strong for Glamorous Approach with eight and a half lengths and more back to the remainder.
Champion Trainer O'Brien later stated “she was held up the first day and then Ana (O'Brien, daughter) made the running on her when she won at Leopardstown.
"Colm gave her a lovely ride, and she will go for one of the Oaks trials. Looking at her you would say that she definitely stays."
Colm O'Donoghue added "she had good form last year, and the maiden she won has worked out well. She kept galloping, is by Galileo and you would have to think the Oaks is an option."
