Bachelor scores up North

The Colin McBratney trained Bachelor Lad made all for a game win in the opening Viva Las Vegas at Downpatrick Maiden Hurdle at Downpatrick this evening.

Ridden by Andrew McNamara, the son of Bach needed to battle on the run-in to hold the challenge of Gold Sensation

Afterwards McBratney stated “that was long overdue. Andrew has ridden him three times and has done a great job with him.”

“The ground couldn’t be quick enough for him, he jumps well and will go novice hurdling now before going chasing later this year.”
