Do Ya Feel Lucky emerged on top after a thrilling final furlong duel in the geldings point-to-point bumper at Tipperary.
The well backed No Deal (8/1 in morning into 3/1) attempted to make all in the 2m2f event and was tackled over a furlong out by the 40/1 shot.
Jamie Codd just got his mount's head in front as the pair battled it out in the closing stages and he edged the verdict by a head.
The Robert Murphy-trained winner had shown little in three bumper starts last year but had produced an improved performance when second in a point-to-point at Tramore last month.
"He wants that good ground," revealed Murphy.
"He wasn't able to handle soft ground in bumpers before but was second at Tramore on good ground.
"He'll be kept on the go and might go hurdling now."
Easy to back favourite Brand Ambassador (8/11 in morning out to 7/4) had every chance turning in but could only finish fourth.
