He got away with the ground but was one of the ones certain to stay. For the money it was a weak race but I'm delighted to win again with him. I'll freshen up him now and while he probably isn't entitled to run in the Galway Plate he'll go there next and end up back here for the Kerry National again.

Katie got a brilliant tune out of him. I didn't think he was quite fit enough at Killarney but it proved to be a good prep run. Thank God he got into the race as he was flying at home. He is bomb proof in his jumping and it would have very unfortunate had he fell at the first.

Every time we get into the red he keeps getting us out of trouble. I very nearly didn't run him due to the watering and the ground changing (went yielding to soft after the fourth), but he loves this place and he has won here before and has been placed here. David gave him a very positive ride. We dropped him in Punchestown but now its seems that was the wrong thing to have done. He has won twice at Galway and we might get him into the bottom of the Galway Plate now.

He had a great run the last day and he needed to improve from it as it was his first run back after a break. I was very a happy with the run at Bellewstown and in fairness to him he hasn't had his ground in two seasons. He had been disappointing but I thought he had a great chance today and I told a few people to back him each-way. He got a freebie in front and he jumped great. He has always been better over fences and he will go for the Galway Blazers now.

Ronan (O'Gara) is in mighty form after that. He couldn't be here today as he is at a birthday. He was disappointing considering we thought he had good potential. He wants quick ground and I can't think of anything else to blame for his poor runs other than the ground. Alan Crowe rode him the last day and he didn't handle the ground at Ballinrobe even thought it wasn't that soft. He jumped fantastic today because of the ground. The plan in the early days was the four miler at the Cheltenham Festival and that could still be a possibility. That was Davy's (Russell) first winner for me.

He travelled and jumped great. Alan said he is still learning and hopefully he'll keep improving. I'd imagine the owner might like to go to Galway now and I think there is a three mile handicap for him on Plate Day. He is obviously going to be a chaser of the future. He has battled well now the two days he has won so that is good to see.

We decided to chance him back in a maiden and I thought his experience would count for a lot and Alan [Crowe] gave him a fantastic ride.
