He is very solid without being exciting. We bought last January or February after winning a six-year-old and up maiden (point-to-point). We bought him because he his brother Corrigs (runs tomorrow at Roscommon) was flying at home. He got into traffic problems over three miles the last day, and I was glad to see the rain today. I'll have to make a decision now whether to keep him going. Looking long-term hopefully he'll be a nice three mile plus horse on nice ground in a big handicap. He is rated 119 over hurdles, but I think he will be hugely better over fences.

I had his half-brother Corrigs and when this fella won a 6-y-o and up maiden point-to-point we said we'd try and buy him as there isn't much of a market for horses at that age,. He was staying on in a Leopardstown bumper but I only had him three weeks at that stage. Tramore wouldn't be his track but we just thought that if he got his own way in front he'd go close. He's a real chaser and will probably have one more run over hurdles before going chasing.

A good ground horse, he ran well in a bumper at Leopardstown and I didn't have him that long at the time. No More Heroes won the race by a country mile but Subtle Ben wasn't far off the rest and we'll go straight over hurdles with him as he'll improve for a longer trip and better ground.
