He made a mistake two out which would have stopped most horses. Robbie said he then just panicked a bit and actually got there too soon. He went on that ground super . it was no problem to him at all. Even against those horses he's some jumper and you'd excuse him that bit of a fumble two out. The Royal Bond is on the cards now although Down Royal could be an option too. As it stands though Oscars Well will go there unless the ground is too quick. Oscars Well is still relatively inexperienced over hurdles and I'd like to give him a chance at that game again this season. He'll have the option of going chasing later on anyway.

Steps To Freedom couldn't do any more than that - he was super and jumped really well. He'll probably head to Tipperary for a novice hurdle on Sunday week next if the ground isn't too soft. The ground today was perfect for him and the faster they'll go in races, the better he'll be. We'll play it by ear but we might see how he gets on with soft ground eventually, as he is a stronger horse now.

all the hard work was done by Gordon (Elliott, previous trainer) as I only have him about six weeks. All I had to do was get him fit and bring him here!. He was very good and it was lovely of his owners to let Kate ride, I appreciate that. I said to her afterwards that she wouldn't get many easier winners!. Steps To Freedom could stay on the flat now as he has a bit of class. We'll see what the handicapper does but he jumps really well too.

He's a fair horse - he's going to be a proper horse. He done it well,. He gave a fair blow there and should come on. He could go to Galway if he's not sold. We'll see what happens.
