. He is quite a quirky horse and was off and on the bridle a bit but, I knew when I popped the question, there was plenty in the tank. He wasn't doing a whole pile in front, but landed running at the back of the last and hit the line well.

this horse is named after John Cajun, who is a friend of owner Shay Gillen and while they didn't make it down, I'm delighted for them as they were unlucky with Moonovercloon. He won a hurdle for me at Down Royal in 2020 and while we knew there was another day in him, he has had plenty of problems. Shay gave him every chance, gave him time off and sent him back to me. Many would have given up but Shay kept the faith and it paid off.

He’s a horse that wouldn’t show you a whole lot at home, he’s quite lazy at home so it’s hard to judge him. That’s why we threw the cheek-pieces on him. It’s better that way when they don’t show much at home and do it on the track. Obviously it is his first run for a long time, we’ll see how he comes out of that and all being well we will kick on.
