That was great and it's great to have Luke back. The horse has no real pedigree but I think the grand-dam won a point-to-point. We had tried everything with him and this race arrived so we took our chance. He was in good form, he's had his little issues, but on his day he's not so bad and has won plenty of money for Robert (Honner, owner). We know he gets the three miles now so we'll tip away with him and probably mix it a bit with hurdles as well. He might struggle a bit out of his grade. I enjoyed today for Luke more than anything. He had it tough and it's great to have him back. He got back quicker than we thought.

He's a bit better over fences but he was able to dictate it from the front and we are delighted,. Our fella has run well around here before. He has struggled a bit over fences this year and has probably struggled a bit over hurdles too. It suited him today, he got the run of the race. We'll tip away with him, he's been a great servant and has won plenty of prize money. He has won a few races. He'll mix it with fences. He's a bit lower over hurdles and has won off that mark before and was entitled to go close.

I'm delighted, but he nearly threw it away at the last and didn't jump as well today as he normally does - normally he is electric. Luke was lucky to stay on him at the first and it was nearly all over there. He seems to have come back stronger this year and there’s a hurdle there for him. The horses are in great form, and the filly in the first was even third, it has been amazing.
