You would have to be delighted with that, a first time going a mile and a quarter. I thought Shane gave him a pretty ballsy ride. He sat nearly last and came up around them. He loved it and does like a bit of juice in the ground.

He’s just a gorgeous, genuine horse and I thought he’d like the track. He did it very well. He’s in the Horses In Training Sale, and he’ll do a lovely job for somebody if John (Lavery, owner) lets me send him.

we were delighted to get in (as reserve) and it was another bonus getting the draw. What worried Robbie was that he was slow out in Cork and he was slow out here again today but Robbie got a great 'possy' and he was delighted. He said he's just a very relaxed horse to ride, you can wake him up and switch him off. He's still green and he got unbalanced and knocked himself there. I'll go to the calendar now, see what's there and try and keep creeping up the handicap. Hopefully there's more to come. He doesn't so much at home, he's one of those laid back horses and just does what he has to do. Until we keep going to the track we're not sure how much more there is there. Robbie said he'd improved a lot since his Cork run and if he just keeps going that way there's a little bit more in him.
