He was deadly and we couldn't be happier with him. He seems to absolutely love it here. We didn't get things changed over in time but he's being leased by good friends of the late David Reid Scott, so it will be a bit of fun for all of them. We may go back to Cheltenham in December with him if the ground isn't too heavy. For whatever reason he just seems to be a different horse around here.

he went three miles here the last day over hurdles and got very tired but he was up for that today. I’ve never seen him travel so well in a mile and six race, and when he was second in the Ulster Cesarewitch he never travelled at all but just ground it out and got headed. He’s now won a hurdle race, a steeplechase and a Flat race this year. He’s some fun horse and we’ll keep going until the ground gets heavy. I’ll try and find something for him as quick as possible.

He ran very well at Punchestown on his seasonal reappearance and can go back over fences now and is a great dual purpose type. Robert gave him a great ride and dictated it on him and he is an out and out stayer. He is rated a lot higher over fences but could be a Galway Plate or Galway Hurdle horse - we'll see.

He had a wind operation over the winter and it was his first run back over fences at Ballinrobe,. His run last weekend put him absolutely right for this. He was always travelling but he had to be foot perfect to win. I'll see how he comes out of this but he'll run in the next two mile novice chase. He's a very big horse and is getting stronger as he gets older.

That should keep the son-in-law happy! He ran bad at the Curragh last time but he'd three quick runs and I've done nothing with him since. I was delighted with the way he jumped considering he'd only one run over hurdles and the others had a lot more experience. Robbie said he was doing nothing in front and had his ears pricked. He'll mix it with the flat and hopefully will end up in the four-year-old hurdle at Galway or he could be hijacked into the big amateur handicap.
