He switched off today and that was the main thing and also got a good lead. The good gallop helped him to settle and he was in a good way today,” . He's a small horse and will stick to hurdles until we find a decent chase to suit. He was very fit coming here today and that's three wins for him here.

He didn't just jump the way he usually does. Noel thought he'd lost it three out but he came back well and he's very gutsy. He has a nice bit of class too. He did the same at Thurles but it was probably a worse mistake there. He seems to get it wrong at the odd fence. I had him entered in the Grade 2 at Navan but it came up too heavy. Being a front-runner he can be hard on himself and he's not a big horse. We'll look for a Graded race for him. Two miles is his optimum trip and his dam is a half-sister to Newmill. He pulls hard and he has to get to the front. He got that 2m1f well and we might be able to stretch it a bit on better ground.

He tanks all the time in front and he needs to switch off a bit. If he settled better he would stay further. He is fine as long as he keeps winning over two miles. He hung left a bit and I thought he had fluffed his chance at the last. Galway is next up for him, ground permitting. He will go the winner novice hurdle on the Tuesday.

He's a real horse. He has met a few good ones but he has guts to burn. He doesn't settle as well as you would like. I was pleased with the ride. Mount Colah gets two miles well. He'll have a wee break and then go back hurdling. His owner Thomas Walsh is from Bryansford, Co Down and this is his first ever horse in training.
