She only got 3 pounds for winning the last day and came forward from that run. She is lazy but is honest as hell and we were hoping to win today to get her up a few pounds and run in the Premier Handicap on the Friday of Listowel next. Robbie (Downey) is top class - if I had 40 horses he'd be riding every one of them. He has a great brain and does what he is told and I can't speak highly enough of him.

The ground was a big factor. I knew she would be very competitive off her mark. I fancied her in Roscommon but she was unlucky in running as she got caught in a pocket. She was second in a decent maiden here last year on that type of ground. Everything fell right for her today. She got a super ride from Josephine who kept things simple.

Without being cocky, we expected that. Chris (Hayes) rode her the last night and felt she was well capable of a Listed race. We'll probably put her away now and look at something early next year. She's a very nice filly. We'll play to her handicap mark and work from there.
