I said to the owner when she won here in January that we'd go for this novice handicap in Punchestown. She lost her way a bit then but the ground was too quick the last day at Fairyhouse. She loved that mud today. She fell at Thurles, then she didn't go left-handed at Naas where her jumping was appalling. She was spot on in the handicap and Robbie said he'd do the ten three though there was a lot of complaining from him with the light silks. She's like the dam and it's great for Dermot to have had a winner here and to have bred it. It means an awful lot to him.

she was good . she had two nice runs over fences, behind Mikael D'Haguenet and up north when I thought she'd win over Christmas. Coming here I thought she'd win and she is a brill jumper and thats down to Jamie Codd who did all the jumping with her last year when she was with him (and trainer Willie Codd). We'll look for a mares listed race and hopefully she'll come back here for the festival.

We hadn't a clue coming here today where she would like the ground, as all her runs have come on either good or good to firm ground. I spoke to her owners earlier and they said her dam Saraemma had won on soft ground, so that gave us hope. Jamie gave her a brilliant ride, he stayed wide. He though himself that he got there a bit too soon. She is a decent mare and will make a lovely broodmare for her owners. Hopefully we can get some black type for her now.

My horses weren't right since Listowel in June, but they are coming back to themselves now. Her owner Dermot Cox kindly sent her to me to win a point-to-point and she did that on her debut. She was slow over hurdles but we didn't think she was a bumper horse either, so it's a bonus to win one with her. She will be a lovely broodmare for her owners in time and she might be left off till the spring now as she is a big mare. Jamie gave her a peach of a ride, dictating things from the front.
