I said to the lads (Lock Syndicate) beforehand even though they were giving him no chance, if he jumped, he'd be there or thereabouts. That's exactly how it turned out and he loves this place. It's great to still have him and for him to still be showing that ability. He's felt good all season. We were delighted with his first run over hurdles but he was disappointing last time. He didn't jump well which isn't like him at all. If he hadn't run well here and was dropped a few pounds we might have thought about coming back here for the Irish National. He's in at Aintree and hopefully we'll head there.

I only have the five horses and this is unbelievable, just brilliant. The last day was the real shock (got a 27Ib hike in the ratings for that to bring him into the race) and we were confident coming here but we were afraid to say it. Andrew is a brilliant rider . much under-rated and he gave him a copybook ride, the whole thing was copybook. He is only a pony and anyone could ride him at home.

we hoped in a small field, we would pop around and get our entry money back! He was meant to run in a 0-109 handicap at Fairyhouse but they did away with the chases and he came here with an eye to running in a handicap at the next meeting!. I cant'believe it! He hadn't run since December 1 and we just wanted to get a run into him.
