He's a brilliant jumper and on his chase rating he was entitled to win,. He ran too free in Roscommon last Monday and blew up so we decided to drop in today. His main target is the Kerry National but whether we still have anything up our sleeves off a rating of 141 remains to be seen but it's the obvious target. It was grand to pick up something like this in the meantime.

I've been telling the owner all year that there was a big handicap in Klepht but he won an ordinary enough beginners' chase at Wexford and I thought he got a big enough rating. He tends to struggle with his breathing and he should be better on better ground. We'll see what the handicapper does and he could head for the Galway Plate.

I'm thrilled because he is an honest horse and he never let us down, he was just unlucky in bumpers. It was great to have the point-to-point experience. He is very big, hurdles would have only got in his way at his age. He likes good ground and that was as short a trip as he would want.
