it wasn't the plan to make the running but he showed a bit of character at the start and Paul (Townend) let him go on. I'm glad it worked out but it wasn't he plan!. The ground is as heavy as he'd want it . we'll see what the handicapper does but he got a fair 'dart' for winning by a few lengths at Cork and he'll now get an entry for the Ladbroke Hurdle at Ascot in a few weeks.

He has been working well, but his flat run did put me off a bit. Maybe it was the hurdles that changed his mind, although maybe it was an ordinary race. We'll see what the handicapper does, but more than likely he'll go back on the flat before the end of the season.

He's still learning, Robert [Power] said he hated the ground. He jumped well and is improving all of the time. He's well bred and appears to have taken to hurdling. We'll probably go to Leopardstown for the Denny's Juvenile Hurdle at Christmas.
