I was delighted to see the rain the whole way down and she seemed to settle much better today than her latest start. She was covered by Milan on Monday and is more than likely finished racing now.

She has not been right all year as her bloods were wrong. I didn't think we would have to wait that long to win a maiden hurdle, but she's done it very easily. It'll all depend on the weather if she goes to Punchestown as she'd not want it any quicker than that. She loves to make the running. Her owners Jim and Mary Brown couldn't be here today as they are at a wedding in South Africa.

Kates Benefit did it well again and we'll probably put her away now. I was going to go hurdling but most of the good mares' hurdles are gone now and if she did win one, she would have to go handicapping next year and wouldn't have the experience for that. Next year, we'll try to win a maiden hurdle and look at a few of the novices with her. Groundwise she goes on anything except fast - it was tacky today and the rest of them didn't handle it as well as her. She is something to look forward to next season.
