He's been great. He won here not so long ago but he has been a little bit frustrating on nights as well where he hasn't helped himself early,. Today, for some reason, he jumped brilliant and settled in a perfect spot. When he did that you think 'tonight's his night.'. He's great for the lads that own him. He's been a great horse for them. There might be something back here in three weeks time for him. He was very tough. Chris said he might have delayed his challenge a little longer in different circumstances but I'd have preferred to see him getting run out of it rather than not getting there. He's doing his job, that's the most important thing with him, and hopefully there will be more nights.

I'm delighted with that and delighted with the ride Billy (Lee) gave him, sure he was absolutely brilliant on him. . He ran well here the last night and we haven't done a whole pile with him since and I'd say that probably helped him. . There's something for him on the 8th of November and he could run in that. He has been fantastic for us - he has been first, second and third in his five runs.

I'm delighted. We thought a lot of him last year and he figured it all out when he won the last day. He made all that day and made decent fractions over seven furlongs and galloped on strongly to beat Charlie Bear. People were saying Charlie Bear didn't face the lights that night and maybe it was a bit of a fluke, but he's after winning a conditions race now and did it well. Pat (Smullen) steadied it up in front and left a nice gap up the rail. In fairness to Shane he gave him a great ride. He should improve as I was doubting myself if he had enough done and he was carrying a lot of condition. We'll see what the handicapper does now and I've no real plan. I had him in the Madrid Handicap, but thought this was a better option. He's after winning two now and is improving. He could have been sold after he won last time that, but with one thing and another he wasn't.

We always thought he was a nice horse in the spring but he disappointed on his first run here,. He's been a bit of a playboy and we had him gelded. He ran in a visor for the first time at Naas in the Birdcatcher and they helped sharpen him up but he became unbalanced on the ridges. We always thought he was capable of winning a maiden. I have to give Fergal credit and it was his idea to make the running and he executed it well. He kept galloping all the way to the line. The penny is only dropping now with him and he's learning what racing is about. There's nothing wrong with his attitude. He should improve again as he carries a lot of condition. He is for sale but if we don't sell him he'll be a nice horse for good ground next year.
