Myself and the Kangleys (Ann and Pat, winning owners) are old firends and go back a long way and I only have this horse a month. He won hurdles, chases and flat races for Ross O'Sullivan but being a ten year old they felt he needed a bit of pep in his step and sent him to me as I'm near a beach (for exercise). There's a conditions hurdle here in a month's time for him next.

He was a bit unlucky at Killarney over hurdles where he pricked his ears and was just beaten. He's a very good horse over fences, and that's his sixth win. In fairness Davy was on looking for the ride early in the week, and I knew that was a good sign. He doesn't want very heavy ground.

He has always been a decent jumping horse and this seems to be his ground. He is my stable star and Katie was very good on him. She was very strong in the finish.

it was a funny sort of race. There was no pace and Andrew had to do all the donkey-work in front although he (He's Our Man) would have been much better off with a lead.

That's my first track winner but I've had five point-to-point wins. It's great to win and I won a bumper on him. He has been consistent and will probably go for a good handicap hurdle at Killarney now. He will be kept on the go for the summer now and will go chasing in time. The owners are Pat & Anne Kangley from Kells in Co Meath.

I thought he was a certainty and told the owner to put the dough down today to get her money back,. I knew he needed a fast gallop so sent the other horse (Audrelles Dream) out to go as fast as she could and make it for us. I'll think about the winners' bumper at Down Royal and then I might think about Cheltenham for him. He's a serious hurdler and has done plenty of schooling already. I'll look at either the Supreme Novice Hurdle or Cheltenham Bumper. He's as good as I've ever trained.
