He was bought to go jumping with according to his trainer, David Marnane, and Hampstead Heath, a maiden up to now, got his hurdling career off to the perfect start with a professional display to beat the reluctant looking favourite, Liberty Love (2s into 11/8) by a length and a half in the Sporting Press 3-Y-O Maiden Hurdle.

He did the same thing as the last day. I can't get over how quick he is over his fences, he's such a natural jumper. I don't know what the plan is now, we'll have to wait and see what the handicapper does. We'll give him a little break now and freshen him up. He's a quirky customer and he needs plenty of light at his fences.

That was my first winner over fences. This lad won first time out over hurdles. He jumps well and has always had ability, he has been a bit disappointing on the flat but this is the first time he's got his ground. I don't know where we'll go next but he'll mix it up over the Summer.
