Shane gave him a good ride and he jumped well for him. He keeps going and ideally he would like three miles. It is good ground there today but on even quicker ground he is better. He could go to Galway for the amateur handicap (Monday evening feature) or the two mile five furlong hurdle on the Saturday but it depends on the ground.

I wasn't worried about the step up in trip, and I think he'll probably go further. It's a good track and it's great to win here. I rode a winner here for Noel Meade. He will mix it between the flat and jumps now. He is a ground dependant horse, he wants good ground. The better the ground, the better he is. He is a horse that there could be more in.

He did what we thought he would do. He is a nice horse and he probably didn't like the track, as he needs more of a galloping track. He is a better class than what he was up against here and the form of his bumper win has worked out well. We will stick him in a handicap on the level next and see what mark the handicapper will give him. I don't think Galway would suit him, he might go to Leopardstown or the Curragh next. He is a nice horse to go hurdling with later in the year as he is 16.2hh and has plenty of scope.

I've only started back training last year. I have six riding out at the moment. This fellow is a very nice horse and we thought he'd win at Punchestown (finished down the field). I have to thank one of his owners, Bernard Carroll as he thought we should give him another run in a bumper. I had him entered on the flat in Clonmel. He'll definitely have a go on the flat now. He's probably a ten to twelve furlong horse. Leo McCormack a part-owner had a winner at Sligo on Monday with Tin Town Boy so it's great for him. Robbie said he could go for a winners bumper now as he's one of the best that he's ridden this year.
