He was a fun horse that we kept for one of the girls in the yard to ride in a charity race at Punchestown,. He's a great old school master, a lovely horse and very easy to do anything with. He's one that we're going to sell and it's brilliant that he's come and won for us today. If some young person out there wanted a school master he's for sale and he won't be expensive. I think he'll win again as well. If he's not sold he'll run away for the summer and then get sold. It's brilliant to get another winner for Eric (Newnham), who is London based. Phils Choice won for me at Limerick over Christmas and we have her to look after. This year want we're trying to do is to keep moving the lower grade handicappers. I'm limited to 60 stables and we're going to try and build a better team, slowly but surely. I think with the price of the point-to-pointers and the stores at the moment there is a huge opportunity to build things. We're going to try and move in that direction but to do that we have to free up boxes so we need to keep selling these guys.

He’s just come down a little bit and he ran very well here last year (in the October Handicap). He might go now for the Naas November Handicap and then back over hurdles. He’s a fun horse that can win races. He’s not altogether simple but often those type of horses get on well with women.

At last! He'll run in handicaps somewhere now and will go back on the Flat at some stage. I can't believe it took him so long to win one. We had it in our minds to hold him up today and come late but he ended in front before we planned.

That was grand, it was a nice workmanlike performance,. He shouted the house down in the parade ring but Colin said once he got on him and cantered him to the start he manned up and there wasn't a word out of him. He said he was in early in the stalls and stood like a lamb. Colin said the ground is heavy but loose and they are going through it. He said that you couldn't be more impressed with how he did it and there should be plenty of improvement in him. We don't know how deep theses maidens are at the minute but our horses are fit and well. I've loads of horses that will win their maidens but what they do after that time will tell. Some will hopefully progress and some won't. Fingers crossed.
