My horses ran so badly during the week that we didn’t know what to expect. She likes it here and likes soft ground. She looked beaten a few times but kept pulling out a bit more. It’s very important for these mares to get some black type and hopefully she can get some.

I do (think she can go back over fences). I think she is a lot stronger this year and a lot better. She probably lost her way a bit last year, she had plenty of runs. She won a hurdle here last year and went straight chasing and won her beginners and was running in some real good races and running well so I'd say she'll go chasing again. She's tough and that's what you need. They went a nice good gallop, it suited her. She probably wants three miles. She was fairly flat out but she jumped brilliantly and when they steadied it up I gave her a chance to get into it and just latch onto their heels. The one thing I knew she would do is stay galloping. We were a bit disappointed the other day [withdrawn on Sunday as her rider then Jack Kennedy was injured and a replacement rider at 9st10lbs was not available] but it might all have been for luck!. She has improved - she's a big mare and was bound to improve. We'll go for another hurdle in a fortnight's time at Gowran next.

I had no plan coming here other than today but I'd imagine she'll stick to the mares' novice chases now. She jumps very well and jumps fences better than hurdles. She has the scope for fences - look at the size of her!. That's a grand start for her and she loves that ground.

She has been in since Listowel (last September) and coming here the plan was to give her a break afterwards. We always thought she'd need two and a half and I thought she'd win the last day.

She is a huge mare and never does any more than she can get away with! She works better on grass and doesn't show a lot on the all-weather (at home). I don't suppose she'll go for a winners' bumper and might go back hurdling now.
