He's such a laid-back horse, even Derek (O'Connor) said that yesterday. It doesn't take much out of him. James said it felt like he was flat out most to the way, but he finds. He is so laid-back, so it is hard to know if he is flat out or not. We will definitely consider the Petingo and the Irish Cesarewitch that he is entered in. I have to figure all that out with the weights. He would run if the ground is okay, he wouldn't want it too soft. I knew he was in great nick, he hadn't a nut left this morning. I wasn't worried about form-wise, I was a little bit worried about the trip but he stayed very well.

The ground went against him in Galway and he got his ground today,. I thought it was a great performance off that weight, he was giving plenty of weight away. He's an honest horse and the cheekpieces sharpened him up a bit today. Derek gave him a great ride. He's declared in the hurdle tomorrow (the Mullacurry Cup) and if he's alright he'll probably come back. The ground should be nice so if he eats up and everything is fine, I don't see why not.

He gave him a good ride, he went steady and he knew what he was at. He's a good young lad. He had his homework done there and he knew what he was going to do, He sent him on and he went on for him. Possibly (consider Ballybrit), I've no set plans with him yet. He had a good run last year when he won three on the trot. He had a bit of a setback so we let him off and he came back and needed the run in Punchestown. I was disappointed with him on the Flat in Fairyhouse, but it wasn't run to suit him. Obviously, he is back on track with his last two runs. I think he is a decent horse. He's a very laid-back horse even at home and it is hard to get a good read on him.

I'm delighted, it's been a great day. I was a bit disappointed with him in Fairyhouse the last day but, in hindsight, they didn't go much of a gallop and it turned into a sprint. He had some good form last year, but had a bit of a setback so we let him off for the rest of the summer. I had faith in him and knew he was good enough to win. I told Declan to make plenty of use of him and he gave him a great ride. He stays well and he is a nice horse.

He’s a laid-back horse who just does enough. I don’t think he’s one that’s ever going to win by too far. He stays well and you’d imagine three miles will be no problem to him. He just switches off nicely and he jumped well today. I’d say that track would be tight enough for him as well. We’ll continue to mix and match and maybe pick out a nice handicap on the Flat with him before too long.

Declan said that is as short as you would want to be going with him - he was only getting going in the last 100 yards. Declan liked him. He has a great attitude, he just switches off and relaxes. He can be a bit slowly away so probably two miles would suit him and he can just take his time. I'm delighted with that. Declan said he thinks he would be good enough for some of those better staying handicaps. He's a nice horse to have and I'm delighted for the lads as well.

the last night I don't think he liked the bit - he acted up and he hung. He acted out of character and he just didn't put it all in.
