the handicapper was a bit strong with him after the run in the claimer the other night. We didn’t do much with him since and he was literally just out in the field at home. When he was younger he was a very promising horse but he had training issues and lost his way. He’s just not the horse he was but it’s great to get a win for the owners.

He fell asunder when we gelded him this year and he's a big raw horse. I think we might pull the shoes off him now and leave him off for six months. Hopefully he will be a Premier Handicap horse next year,. He won on good to firm but I'd say that's his preferred ground; hopefully he'll improve next season.

I thought he would win last Monday but I'd say he didn't handle the track as he was beaten after two furlongs. He came out of it well and has been a long time trying to win a maiden. He got a bit weak after being gelded over the winter, and he'll probably be better as a four-year-old.
